Welcome to Spring! If you only looked at the weather forecast and not the calendar, you may not realize that today is the first day of Spring. It’s been a long, cold winter, and warmer days are certainly ahead. My wife is ready to plant her garden, but it’s difficult to visualize those plans when the plot still has two feet of snow on it. I think we all need to be patient.

Accent Window Fashions
Patterned interior finishes can spice up a living space. Solid colors are soothing and calm, but sometimes an entire room of solid colors can just seem boring. Patterns can make a dramatic design statement or subtly amp up the interest in a room. The varieties of patterns are almost unlimited – stripes, circles, paisley, polka dots and animal prints. Patterned finishes come in almost any color combination, from subtle to bold, from traditional to totally contemporary. Be brave and add patterns to your life – and to your home. To learn more about how to integrate color and pattern into your living space, contact Accent Window Fashions of Wausau.

This evening we’re in for a treat. The physics students at Wausau East High School have their annual Parent’s Night where they will be demonstrating their Rube Goldberg machines. Rube Goldberg is a cartoonist famous for illustrating unnecessarily complex machines that do simple tasks. While this is a great way to teach physics and the students do have a chance of advancing to the state Rube Goldberg competition, how often do we take simple tasks and make them more difficult than they need to be.
