A harvest moon, beautiful fall colors. This week has had some absolutely amazing weather. My hope is that we didn’t just experience our Indian Summer, but that there will be more great weather to come.

Haunted Sawmill

The Haunted Sawmill is back and it’s better than ever! A fundraiser for Boy Scout Troop 599 of Merrill, WI the 2nd annual Haunted Sawmill has become a community event that shouldn’t be missed this Halloween season. Opening on Friday, October 12 the sawmill will run every weekend until Halloween on Wednesday the 31st of October. Better than any haunted house, his year’s Haunted Sawmill offers new thrills and chills, but also has special family friendly shows for the younger crowd.

Although this week has been warm and sunny, colder weather is ahead. There are many people in our community were a warm coat will make all the difference in their life. The Kiwanis Club of Wausau’s annual Coats for Kids drive helps distribute warm jackets to those that need them. Coat collection is on now.
