Yesterday evening a historic event unfolded in the skies above us as the planet Venus made its across the face of the Sun. This transit won’t happen again for another 105 years, so when the clouds broke yesterday, it gave area astronomers a chance to witness the event first hand. My good friend Gary set up his telescope and invited us to a little viewing party. Here’s a few images from the event.
