Take Care play by Tap It new works UWMC wausauThursday, April 26 marks the premiere in Wausau of a new play. Titled Take Care, the play is billed as a new play for the sandwich generation and beyond and explores the trials and tribulations of caring for an older population. The play is being performed at the UWMC Center for Civic Engagement and is produced by Tap It|Ensemble Works a national theatre touring group based in Madison, WI.

From the Wausau Daily Herald:

The University of Wisconsin Marathon County worked to create the play with TAPIT/new works Ensemble Theater, a national touring company based in Madison.

The company’s producing artistic directors held workshops in the area in 2011, meeting with residents and staff members at Merrill’s Woodland Court, palliative care and hospice workers from Aspirus, Community Corner Clubhouse members, students in the Upward Bound summer program and UWMC students.
