Grab your grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts because it’s time to bowl! Big Brothers Big Sisters’ annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake is back and with the “Big Luau” theme, it’s all things Hawaiian. What a nice escape from a Wisconsin winter, right?
Bowl For Kids’ Sake three day extravaganza will be at Dale’s Weston Lanes on January 12-14, 2012 with a pig roast dinner by Bob’s Catering on Friday, January 13. The shifts this year are as follows:
Thursday: 9-11 p.m. (NEW!)
Friday: 7-9 p.m. (Pig Roast) and 9-11 p.m.
Saturday: 1-3 p.m. (Kid Shift), 4-6 p.m. (Teen & Family), and 7-9 p.m
Not a good bowler? That’s OK! Simply form a team of 4-6 people, come out and have a great time while supporting a great cause. There will be FREE bowling, event t-shirts, pizza, soda, raffle prizes, pledge prizes and a lot of fun!! Adults only need to raise $85 in pledges, high school students are asked to raise $50 in pledges, and kids 14 and under raise a minimum of $25 in pledges. You can also sign up as a family bowling team, which requires $150 in pledges for a team of 4-6 people.
So, mark your calendars for January 12-14, 2012 and get started by becoming a team captain! Ask four or five of your friends, family or co-workers and form a team. Give our office a call and we would be happy to register your team or you can use our online registration as soon as it is available. Go to our website, bbbsncw.org, and you’ll see a link for Bowl for Kids’ Sake information. Or, simply go to http://bbbsncw.org/events/

Remember, it’s not about being a great bowler, it’s about having a great time and raising money to support mentoring relationships that make a big impact right here in our communities. All the money raised stays local and directly funds making and supporting matches in the Greater Wausau Area, Mosinee, Merrill, and Spencer. We hope to see you there!
